THE PROPHET BY KAHLIL GIBRAN
The sea that calls all things unto her calls me, and I must embark.
For to stay, though the hours burn in the night, is to freeze and crystallize and be bound in a mould.
Fain would I take with me all that is here. But how shall I?
A voice cannot carry the tongue and the lips that give it wings. Alone must it seek the ether.
And alone and without his nest shall the eagle fly across the sun

Fain would I take with me all that is here. But how shall I?
A voice cannot carry the tongue and the lips that give it wings. Alone must it seek the ether.
And alone and without his nest shall the eagle fly across the sun

mystics never talk about God, reincarnation, heaven, hell. No, they don't talk about these things. These are all creations of human mind: explanations for something which can never be explained, explanations for the mystery. In fact, all explanations are against God because explanation de-mystifies existence. Existence is a mystery, and one should accept it as a mystery and not pretend to have any explanation. No, explanation is not needed – only exclamation, a wondering heart, awakened, surprised, feeling the mystery of life each moment. Then, and only then, you know what truth is. And truth liberates.

Gone to the Unseen
At last you have departed and gone to the Unseen.
What marvelous route did you take from this world?
Beating your wings and feathers,
you broke free from this cage.
Rising up to the sky
you attained the world of the soul.
You were a prized falcon trapped by an Old Woman.
Then you heard the drummer's call
and flew beyond space and time.
As a lovesick nightingale, you flew among the owls.
Then came the scent of the rosegarden
and you flew off to meet the Rose.
The wine of this fleeting world
caused your head to ache.
Finally you joined the tavern of Eternity.
Like an arrow, you sped from the bow
and went straight for the bull's eye of bliss.
This phantom world gave you false signs
But you turned from the illusion
and journeyed to the land of truth.
You are now the Sun -
what need have you for a crown?
You have vanished from this world -
what need have you to tie your robe?
I've heard that you can barely see your soul.
But why look at all? -
yours is now the Soul of Souls!
O heart, what a wonderful bird you are.
Seeking divine heights,
Flapping your wings,
you smashed the pointed spears of your enemy.
The flowers flee from Autumn, but not you -
You are the fearless rose
that grows amidst the freezing wind.
Pouring down like the rain of heaven
you fell upon the rooftop of this world.
Then you ran in every direction
and escaped through the drain spout . . .
Now the words are over
and the pain they bring is gone.
Now you have gone to rest
in the arms of the Beloved.

No two persons are alike, so no common rule is ever applicable to anybody. Whenever someone tries to apply a common rule, it has a bad effect. Each person is an individual. Each person is unique and incomparable. Only he is like himself, there is no other person like him anywhere on the earth. So no rule can be a rule for him until he finds out what the rules for his own life-processes are.

I was the oldest of three
and to uphold and cheer the rest
i ought to do and did my best
and each did well in his degree
The youngest ,whom my father loved
becuase of our mothers brow was given to him
with eyes as blue as heaven
for him my soul was sorely moved
and truely might be distress;d
to see such a bird in such a nest
for he was beautiful as day
when day was beautiful to me as to young eagles being free
a polar day ,which will not see a sunset till its summers gone
its sleepless summer of long light
the snowclad offspring of the sun
and thus he was pure and bright
and his natural spirit gay
with tears for nought but others ills
and then they flowed like mountain rills
unless he could assuage the woe
which he abhorrd to view below
lord byron

During 1964 and 1965, Dylan had been writing a book, titled Tarantula, which would not be published until 1971. At least one piece of prose became the source for an actual song. As Dylan recalled in 1966, "I found myself writing this song, this story, this long piece of vomit about twenty pages long, and out of it I took 'Like A Rolling Stone'...After writing that, I wasn't interested in writing a novel, or a play.

Tracey chapman living legend we love you ,if you havent heard her first album then you have missed a piece of pure youthful passion ,this record is a perfectly whole piece of art and within it the hopes of the young poet are captured for all time ,i have no doubt this is one of the greatest records we have ever known .we have been gifted with by another one of our legendary hearts ,we should vote for art and expression like this rather than the greed of our politcal leaders ,we should follow the dream of people like tracey rather than the idea of status or material gain.
why do new born babies starve when theres enough food to feed the world
why when theres so many of us theres people still alone
why are the missles called peace keepers when there aimed to kill
somebodys gonna have to answer when the blind remove their blinders and the speakers speak the truth.
my sentiments exactly ,shouldnt our political leaders be saying this kind of thing, far from it me thinks and still they are voted for, we just take whatever is put on the plate .
vote tracey vote for peace vote for freedom vote for expression vote for creativety and understanding vote for kindness and acceptance of others vote for poetry and we may make ourselves and this world a little better .

SAN PEDRO SPAIN
Another traveller friendly place in spain ,San pedro hippie beach situated near san jose in gabo de gata southern spain,This place is an abandoned village that was occupied by hippies since the 60s it is a little cove with its own beach where people live in homemade constructions .It is a great place to spend a couple of chilled out weeks on the beach you can make a fire or spend your days wandering naked on the beach a free place and a must if you are travelling spain this summer.I have spent many happy weeks here a good tip for san pedro is bring a good supply of food with you because the nearest shop is a few kilometres away.It is a bit difficult to find and a bit of a hike across the hills so it is best to ask directions in san jose where can be found more friendly crustys.

2700 year old marijuana found in chinese tomb
OTTAWA – Researchers say they have located the world's oldest stash of marijuana, in a tomb in a remote part of China.
The cache of cannabis is about 2,700 years old and was clearly ``cultivated for psychoactive purposes," rather than as fibre for clothing or as food, says a research paper in the Journal of Experimental Botany.
The 789 grams of dried cannabis was buried alongside a light-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian man, likely a shaman of the Gushi culture, near Turpan in northwestern China.
The extremely dry conditions and alkaline soil acted as preservatives, allowing a team of scientists to carefully analyze the stash, which still looked green though it had lost its distinctive odour

Alemendras stone circle ,portugal
There are only two latitudes in which the Moon's maximum declination is the same as the latitude, meaning that at its maximum elongation it goes through the zenith (directly overhead). These two latitudes are 38˚ 331 N (Almendres), and 51° 10' N (Stonehenge
The Almendras stone circle in portugal situated between lisboa and badajoz is a wicked park up if ever there was one.The circle is in the middle of nowhere and here can be found a nice quiet park up.I have known people to have stayed there for the whole summer .
Paradise valley Morroco
There is a place is morroco that is known as The paradiae valley, situated in the hills around agadir in the south of morroco. A few years ago i had the good fortune to visit this valley and camp there for five days and nights .The name is no bullshit it is a little piece of paradise. In the valley you will find crystal clear streams running through it deep enough to swim and cool off from the intense sun.The water is so clean you will find turtles there.the valley is full of palm trees where you can find a nice shady camp.Paradise valley is difficult to get to and it is probably best to get a taxi from agadir,it is difficult to get to but well worth it.A real traveller friendly place that was used alot by international hippies in the 60s and 70s.
