nick drake

Ten years ago i went to grave of an old friend of mine nick drake the folk musician, this week i went to the village of tanworth in arden in the west midlands to his grave, once again  i was delivering some music equipment to andy leek of dexys midnight runners and was in the area.I had a full tank of desiel in my van so i could afford to make a detour and visit my now old friend nick drake  who i have taken with me on my travels across the world . ten years ago nick drake was still almost unheard of and today is deemed one of folk's greatest songwriters. his lonesome poetic melody is truely timeless and as time goes by that is proved furthermore.

im glad that people have discovered  nick's music after'all these years.his grave stone is situated in the village of tanworh in arden near birmingham and is a modest grave under an old oak tree ,it is a special place for me and i think many others too as i know that nick drake's music has reached many and we have found some kind of comfort in his unique melonconic style.
